Our primary fish will be the Redfish (spottail bass or Red Drum). This species is an incredible sportfish as it has both speed and strength. They can live upwards of 40 years, reach close to 100 lbs, and travel hundreds of miles offshore up and down the coast. Because of these reasons, clients will never be allowed to keep/kill redfish. NO EXCEPTIONS.

When the conditions are correct, we will be able to sight fish for reds in shallow water. This style of fishing is without a doubt the most exhilarating way to catch a redfish. We will also be fishing backwater areas around the Wando River, the Intercoastal Waterway, and north towards Bull's Bay. The guide will make sure your charter is highly informative and you will be left with a greater understanding of fishing concepts.

Other species that we will catch will be trout, flounder, sheepshead, blackdrum, tarpon (seasonal) and sharks.

It is extremely important your guide that his clients get exactly what they want out of the trip. Our trips are customized to suit your level of experience. We cater to corporate groups, children, those new to the area, inexperienced beginners, fly fishermen, experienced fishermen, and those seeking to challenge themselves with styles they have not fished before.

Children are always welcome and are encouraged to come.

Charleston Fishing Guide - Boat

We will be fishing out of a 18' Lostmen made by East Cape Canoes (www.EastCapeCanoes.com). This boat is wide and stable with a flat deck for easy walking. The boat has a shallow draft and can easily be poled in shallow water (4-6"). We go where no others can fish.

The other boat is a 22ft Deep "v" Sea Pro. The boat has large gunnels and a full T-Top to make sure the anglers feel very comfortable. The boat allows us to go to deeper water in search of big sharks, bull reds, amberjacks, and other large reef-fish. We can accomodate up to 6 anglers.
